Nature Cameroon Staff

Cameroon is a civil society non-governmental, non-religious, non-political, non-racial and non-profit registered organization by the Government of Cameroon. The creation of Nature Cameroon is in response to combat the rapid destruction of the rich biodiversity in Cameroon mainly at the grassroots level. Our creation was facilitated by the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) an International Conservation NGO with headquarters in New York. WCS facilitated the creation of Nature Cameroon to work alongside it in reaching out to the communities in the implementation of community conservation at the Banyang-Mbo Wildlife Sanctuary in South West Cameroon, through a national NGO.

Mission

The mission of the organization shall be to promote the conservation of biodiversity and improve on the quality of human life for the present and future generations living adjacent to biodiversity hotspots in Cameroon.

Goal

To contribute towards the biodiversity conservation and sustainable development in Cameroon.

Objectives

 Research Environmental Education Collaborative natural resources management. Advocacy Promotion of wildlife and forestry legislation Capacity building of communities/institutions Wellbeing of Children including HIV and AIDS awareness education
